Member at Large Report (Winter 09)

Position Report: Member-At-Large Winter 2009
Nicole Lewis lewis@cs.dal.ca
This is my term report as Member-at-Large for the Dalhousie Computer Science Society
Winter term 2009. The main purpose for Member-at-large is to represent the CS as a whole and
acting on the direction of the council.
I performed my duties by attending as many meetings as possible, offering my opinions and
thoughts were applicable and attending the societies events.
The main event I most attended was Geekbeer. I not only attended these events but also
advertised the event by speaking infront of my classes, and promoting via facebook friend lists.
This was very effective as at each Geekbeer a large percentage of persons I spoke to came to the
event. I also became a bartender this term and intend on continuing this in future terms.
This position helped me to understand what the society is about and really appreciate
everything everyone does and the effort put through.
