The Computer Science Society (CSS) is a faculty-level society under the Dalhousie Student Union (DSU). As a faculty-level society, we receive our funding directly from students in the Faculty of Computer Science through a fee every term. To find out about council positions, see here. We are responsible for providing Graduate and Undergraduate students with support and services which presently include:

GeekBeer

This is a wet/dry event usually on Friday evenings starting at 7PM. This event is open to the entire campus and can include live music/jam sessions, games, movies, dances, and pizza.

Society Desk

Located on the 2nd floor of the Goldberg Computer Science Building, it is the Society-run supply store for stationery, t-shirts, and photo-copy cards.

Snowball

The end of year gala and awards ceremony.

Summer Barbecues

This is a warm-weather event located on the green in front of the Goldberg Computer Science Building on University Avenue. Come and have a burger or a hot dog and enjoy the sun for a while!

Travel Grants

These are $100 grants given by the society to help students who are traveling abroad on conferences or on special trips.
