71011 Award

The joke behind this award is from the Snowball 2006 script. The joke is:

Why is 6 afraid of 7? Because 7 10 11...in base 8.

For anyone not familiar with base 8 (octal) notation. 10=8 and 11=9 thus returning to the old answer to this joke "because 7 8(ate) 9".

Raves

Geekbeer is taking a new spin on things!

This time we are pulling out our black lights, strobe lights, disco lights, and every other fun light we can find as well as Stewart Rand DJ'ing the tunes and a fancy SnoCone machine courtesy of Andrew Sykes.

Come on out for some crazy times!

It's a wet/dry event, so all ages.
As per usual, it will be in the Atrium (basement) of the Computer Science Building.
You don't have to be in CS, or even Dal to come!

Please keep the drinks in the Atrium, if you need to go upstairs please leave your drink with the bartenders.

We now have photos of most of your CS Society council representatives online at the Society Profiles page.

So, if you see any of these people around campus, bring up any concerns or questions you have about the CS program, or Dal in general.
